Kiosk
Our kiosk in Mini-Woolies is open once a week for students to practice making a purchase in a simulated shopping environment.
How it works:
- Parents can add money to their child’s kiosk account through School Bytes.
- Students use a Karonga ‘credit card’ to practice buying snacks and drinks independently.
- Parents and carers will be notified when the kiosk balance is running low.
Skills developed:
- Making choices confidently
- Waiting patiently in a line
- Making purchases independently
- Understanding and using money in everyday situations
Work experience:
Our senior students help run the kiosk at Mini-Woolies, where they learn important skills like customer service, managing stock, and handling money.
